I had the opportunity to experience The Boca Raton Resort’s Spa Palazzo ritual bath many years ago. It was an indulgent to say the least, including inhalation and steam rooms, sauna, waterfall showers and personal Jacuzzi’s all surrounded in a Mediterranean styled paradise. In keeping with this theme, I have to add Adler Thermae in Tuscany, Italy to my #spagoals list. (Italy…Need I say more?) The theme of ‘Lightness’ fills this gorgeous spa which offers an array of bath rituals, including a warm clover and cyprus oil bath. The scenery alone sends you to relaxation bliss.
Another bath ritual I can’t help but want to indulge in is the Spa at Hotel Hershey’s Whipped Cocoa Bath. Yes. Whipped. Chocolate. Bath. I crave mousse as I type. Or how about a pricier ritual at $5,000 at the Hotel Victor South Beach in Miami featuring an infinity-edge tub filled with 1,000 liters of Evian natural spring water from the alps? Or there’s my favorite place on Earth, Hawaii. The Waldorf Astoria Resort, Grand Wailea offers a Luxe Healing Waters of Maui treatment for the ultimate head to toe experience, including body exfoliation, a steam cocoon (yes please), meditative tea, full body massage topped off with a sleep ritual. Sign me up!
I am posting this as we are stuck home in the social distancing era, so I can’t help but fantasize about an elaborate spa experience somewhere luxurious. But for the time being, it’s back to my tub for the spa at home. These days, I feel grateful that I have a tub, for that is truly a luxury.
