Baths to Boost the Immune System
 

There’s never been a better time to focus on our immunity. What better way to give your health a boost (and your mind a rest from Coronavirus updates) than in a steamy, relaxing bath filled with the aromas of herbs, spices, citrus and florals. Essential oils represent the ‘jing’, or the essence of plants, according to ancient Chinese medicine, assisting in mental, physical and spiritual development, all of which can be challenging to maintain during times of uncertainty. It is truly amazing how beneficial and powerful a few drops of certain types of essential oils can be for the mind, body and spirit. For example, Frankincense provides a natural boost to the immune system along with increasing white blood cells. Rosemary acts similarly and helps loosen mucus in the nose. Cloves are antibacterial and antiviral, Oregano is a key natural antibiotic, and Eucalyptus supports respiratory health. With stress, angst, lack of sleep and dehydration wearing down our immunity, it is certainly comforting to know there are simple, all natural options to help us win the fight.
