If you’ve tried meditation and have been unable to fully release yourself to the practice, I feel you. Kids, dogs, work, and life in general make it difficult for the wandering mind to focus even when you have the best intentions in peaceful surroundings. It is extremely frustrating as your inner thoughts keep bouncing around and you can’t reign them in. For me, this happened often until I tried a meditation bath. Being ensconced in warm water, floating in a truly relaxed state, hearing soft trickling sounds and smelling my favorite scent of lavender does the trick every time. I even reach the point where I’m in the half sleep state of euphoria. This practice has changed my mindset and I look forward to it every chance I get. The downside? Pruney fingers, as I never want to get out.
